I was searching for a new spa and esthetician in Tacoma and the search is over! Kim at Lux Salon & Spa is a face magician! My first visit was for facial waxing and she was professional and efficient and I left feeling better with my annoying overgrown whiskers gone. I booked a facial for the next week and it was the highlight of my day. Kim has a calming demeanor and the spa space is quiet and welcoming. She customized my facial based on her hands-on assessment and my concerns. WOW was it a treat! I have never had anyone massage my face as wonderfully and for as long as she did. She explained every product she applied and did not make me feel guilty about not using sunscreen enough which was appreciated and provided samples to nudge me in the right direction. I cannot wait to continue on my skin care journey with her. Thank you, Kim! Lux is lucky have you on their team! Stylist: Kim rocks!

I absolutely loved my experience here. Katie did an amazing job with my hair. She knew exactly what my hair needed. My hair is extremely thick, long and curly so it can be a bit unmanageable at times. She absolutely was able to manage it. The layers she cut are gorgeous, my face framing is perfect for my hair shape and the color is exactly what I needed. I couldn’t recommend her more. I’ll definitely be back!

I was immediately greeted warm by the front desk and offered beverages. I was seen promptly and the stylist was so nice and efficient. I got a blond balayage and it was absolutely perfect. Exactly what I wanted to a T! She even helped me with my bangs and cut them without charging me since I got a botch bang trim earlier by another salon. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back again!

My results have inspired my bridesmaids to get their hair and makeup done for future weddings because of how flawless the look turned out. Kelsey did my makeup and she was a wonderful conversationalist that provided a natural, but photo-perfect look that was everything I wanted and more. The trial went smoothly, the final results were somehow even more brilliant than I imagined. Aileen did my hair and was simultaneously incredibly gentle and intricate while doing my braided updo. I've never felt so relaxed while someone literally teased my hair. Their timing was perfect and the staff was respectful and made my special day stress free. Thank you Lux salon. I will refer everyone who sees the stunning look to your salon, and will be back!

Had a much better experience!! Came back for a redo since I had a bad experience last time. The stylist that took care of me was Ryan with the help of Maggie and they were great! Ryan was so nice and actually took the time to explain to me all the details of my hair and the process leading to what I wanted to achieve. It was very clear that she took a lot of pride in her work and knew what she was doing. Her attitude was so nice and a great way to start my day. Maggie helped her out and she was very nice as well even when they had other clients in, I never felted rushed and they made sure I was satisfied with my hair before I left. I am in love with the results that came out and I am definitely coming back again. Every person I had an encounter with was very polite and took great care of me.

I picked this salon based on reviews so I wanted add my review. I agree with many of the positive comments from other reviewers. The salon was easy to access with plenty of parking. The staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming. The salon was very clean and inviting. I had my hair cut by Nate and he did a great job. He really listened to what I had to say. He gave me his professional opinion on how to approach the cut in order to address my concerns, and he stuck to his plan. He cut my hair with confidence and knew when to stop. He also gave me a chance to interact with the cut and give him feedback. I walked out of the salon feeling great and I’m really happy with the cut.

I visited Lux and Jacqui for the first time yesterday. I will definitely return. The salon is clean and the receptionist was welcoming. Jacqui, the stylist who cut my hair, was personable and listened to me regarding the specific way I like my short pixie cut. She cut it like she’s been doing my hair for years! I highly recommend Lux Salon.

Michelle gave me the perfect cut and red hair color after I had a bad experience at another salon last year. I’ve been seeing her ever since, and she always has the best suggestions for tweaking my color if I want to go lighter or darker. I get compliments on my hair color every single time I leave the house now! She’s also meticulous when she cuts my hair and makes sure I like it from every single angle before I leave the salon. I’ve never had a hairstylist as thorough and as fun to work with as Michelle!

She’s easy to talk to and does really nice work. She was also absolutely amazing with my shy little one. Everyone in the salon is so sweet and it’s really a great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a new stylist, I would definitely check this place out!

Although they didn’t have time for the color treatment I wanted, she did a great cut. I was very impressed that the salon manager followed up with me after my visit.

I have been looking for that trusted person to rely on since moving to the PNW. Michelle was absolutely fantastic! Not only did she give me the exact thing I was looking for but went above and beyond too! I’m so happy with my hair and haven’t felt this confident in a while. She’s amazing!

I recently made my first appointment at the salon to see Michelle and was so impressed! I initially scheduled a color consult after a bad experience at a past salon. She was really informative about the upkeep of the color, what would be expected, and came with reference photos ready to go (this was changing from blonde to red). I was sold when she mentioned we needed to pick the correct red shade to bring out my eye color. The appointment itself was just as great! She talked through the process, reinforced what I'd need to do to keep it looking great at home, and was upfront at all times about the costs. When we were all done, I was so happy and told her I looked just like Pinterest!
